Events at the Campus Recreation Center

Author:

Given that it’s fall and we are in the “sport’s spirit,” we can’t forget our great friends at the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) and the wonderful event opportunities they offer. If you are looking for a space for an upcoming staff or department gathering, or hope to plan a meeting with a bit more fun and adventure, look no further than the CRC! Sara Warner, assistant director for Communications and Marketing at the CRC, shared some great information about how you can use the facility for your next successful event.

One of the key benefits of the CRC is that it offers multiple event facilities within one building, making it a one-stop-shop for any size of healthy lifestyle or recreational event. You can rent either dry spaces or wet spaces based on your needs. Examples of dry spaces include the basketball courts, the track, studios, classrooms, racquetball courts, climbing wall, turf fields, and grass areas like the Burger Bowl. Wet space options include the Competition Pool or Crawford Leisure Pool and Water Slide.

One important detail to consider when booking your event is parking. The CRC doesn’t have its own parking spaces or any dedicated event parking spaces so you will need to coordinate with GT Parking and Transportation. The CRC staff can assist to make this process as easy as possible, but please be sure to start working on this detail as soon as you decide on your location.

To plan your event, please visit the CRC website and fill out a reservation request form. You may also call Jon Hart, CRC Facility Manager, at 404-894-3987. Please note that the CRC is not currently a part of the campus space management system.
