The Event Coordinators’ Network Sixth Annual Workshop: Designing for Excellence, will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at the Carter Center. We encourage all those who are interested in learning more about event design, have event coordination responsibilities, or those who are interested in expanding their skills to register today.
With our workshop heading off-campus this year, we have a lot of exciting activities planned for the event, as well as a few surprises! Here’s a little glimpse of what you can expect at this year’s event.
A Wide Variety of Design Information
Have you been asked to coordinate an event with little to no budget? Are you searching for new and innovative ideas for your annual events? Have you ever wondered how some of our most advanced planners on campus coordinate their events? If so, this workshop is for you. You’ll hear from event professionals from Vanderbilt and Atlanta, as well as those here at Georgia Tech, who integrate various forms of design to create excellent events.
Our workshop participants have the opportunity to network and share best practices with more than 150 campus colleagues and friends. As an attendee, you can develop partnerships with others, promote the good works within your own area, and learn new tips to make your job more efficient.
We listened to our 2013 workshop participants' suggestions and have incorporated two opportunities for attendees to exercise their skills. We'll host a plenary session, where teams will design their optimal event, as well as provide an opportunity for participants to engage in an in-depth discussion on an event topic of their choosing.
A Chance to View an Off-Site Venue
This is the first time the Event Coordinators' Network is going off-campus for our workshop and it's for a good reason - we want to continue to provide resources and experiences for our members. Spending a day at the Carter Center will afford an opportunity for attendees to view a venue they may use for a future event.
Attending the workshop will not only expose you to the opportunities above, but also provide numerous ideas and spark new friendships. We know you don’t need any more convincing, so what are you waiting for? RSVP today! We look forward to seeing you on November 19.
