This year marks 25 years of the College of Computing and 50 years of computer science at Georgia Tech! Our celebration began on Jan. 23 with a kick-off event in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building.
There were four events throughout the day, designed with various College of Computing affiliates in mind. The first event of the day was a faculty and staff Waffle House breakfast.
The second event was a computing student lunch. The third event was a Birthday Cake Reception for all faculty, staff, and students.
Our fourth and final event of the day was a College of Computing alumni and special guest reception held in the College of Architecture's Stubbins Gallery. This event coincided with an exhibit curated by Thad Starner and Clint Zeagler, entitled Meeting the Challenge: The Path Towards a Consumer Wearable Computer.
The College will celebrate all year with various events on the Georgia Tech campus, around town, and out of state! Please visit the College of Computing events calendar for more information.
