As the new student assistant here in the Special Events and Protocol Office, I am eager to share some insight into the role of the on-campus student assistant. Thus, I have addressed some common questions below, such as what are the benefits of being or having a student assistant, which students would be interested, and what’s the best way to effectively advertise for a position.

One reason I enjoy the events profession is the industry’s constant change. Tastes evolve, business needs shift, and it all comes together to allow event planners to try new ideas at old-hat events.
